WIP Wednesday

This is the top that I started last weekend. It's for our company's Bid-n-Buy which will be held at our Studio Party (that I just sent 300 invitations for yesterday, lol).

I'm not thrilled, I see LOTS of room for improvement in color choices, but I refuse to waste the fabric since it is made entirely from my stash. It's meant to be a quicky, and it was. I really did enjoy the faux and easy piecing.

I've finally gotten around to the "it's OK" opinion, it's layered, pinned and ready to be quilted. I designed a holly and berry continuous quilting pattern that I will try, or otherwise I will just meander. I purchased a varigated green/cream combo to try and also a light golden to see if it might work.

I can't wait to see what you're working on, I am really loving this Ring!

It's so pretty. I'm sure it will bring a high price. I like the color choices and congrats on using your stash!

I think you have made a lovely quilt... can't wait to see your quilting design on it. I really should try to make one like that, because my stash needs bustin' real bad. :) Great job!

I think it's great just the way it is! Plus, quilting always makes even what you think is a plan quilt, better.

I can see why you feel the way you do, but it is coming along nicely and looking good, and will be beautiful in the end. Someone will buy it and love it.

I think the quilting will add the dimension that you feel is lacking. I am sure someone is going to be bidding a nice price for your piece. Be sure and sign it!

I like it - it is soothing and calm. Really like the faux log cabin idea too. I'm sure the quilting will add just the touch of pizzazz that it needs. Otherwise you can applique a flower on it.
