Kate & Friends by Christine Thresh

These are two of Kate's closest friends. Charming couple, eh? It's hubby and I! I was lucky enough to be a "Pattern Tester" for Christine Thresh. I completed mine first, goodness...and I that boring? It's pretty true to form tho, I'm just a simple gal.

Hubby picked out his clothing fabrics, ever the style guy. His clothing always matches and his shoes match his belt *sigh*.

Christine's pattern was SO accurate, it went straight from testing to publication. You can find her pattern order page here , I've ordered effortlessly from her before using PayPal.

I loved doll dressing as a kid, was it McCall's Magazine? Anywho, check out her page, you can see the endless possiblities for this pattern.

I plan to make our blocks into a wall-hanging to celebrate our third anniversary!

I loved being a pattern tester, if you ever have the chance, GO FOR IT! I hope I get another opportunity.
Have a wonderful weekend, celebrate like it's a holiday, even it's not where you live! I've been thrown back into the Lion's Den and have been tapped to do a "special project" which includes another month of overtime. Geez Louis, lol.

Aw, you two are so cute! I like hubby's bare feet, does that mean he's not wearing a belt?

If you're serious about wanted to test patterns, get in touch with Marcia at Quilter's Cache. I bet she'd love a volunteer.

Betsy McCall. I remember loving her.
You did such a great job testing the people. Thank you. You and your hubby will have a prominent place in the quilt I am going to make with all the paper pieced people.
Congratulations on your anniversary!

I can see a lot of appeal in the idea of using that pattern to make quilts!
And yes, *VBS*, Betsy McCall and her dress alike doll! What a blast from the past that is...*S* Hugs, FInn

You both are very cute!

When I was younger I was not much of a doll girl because I was a tomboy who loved to play in her Dad's work room. Now as a 50 year old I love dolls and have many.

I love paper piecing and love Christine's pattern. I am going to put this on my holiday wish list. Thank-you for letting us know about Christine and her pattern.

That is way too cute. I just might have to order the pattern. I've been a pattern tester before and loved it. Best part is getting the patterns for free!

Okay, they're pretty cool, but I'd feel better about them if they had faces... you know, to show their personalities... But I think it's VERY cool that you are pattern testing...

Still waiting for you to do a full sized quilt that's actually for YOU!!

Hugs...

Adorable, and so well done! I did some pattern testing for a famous quilter a few years back, it was a great experience.

I am impessed to know a "pattern tester"! They are so sweet, are you going to do the three dd's too?

I have very fond memories of Betsy McCall. I used to go to my grandmother's and she would cut them out for me. I had movie star paper dolls too! So, I bought some paper dolls for my grand daughter...............she was NOT impressed. :(
