I made slippers from this pattern probably 20 years or more ago. (And haven't knitted since!) I've yet to find a satisfactory pair of slippers at the department stores lately so I got busy and made the $4 variety.I think I need "Knitting for Dummies"...a really basic book with simple patterns. I think I'd like to try something else! I learned to knit in an afterschool program in 6th grade. We made a headband, then graduated to a winter headband/skiband. Unfortunately my skill level remained there with simple knit and purl. I'm thrilled I can cast on and off and knit 2 together, lol.
