"But it's a dry heat!"

The 4th of July here certainly has the ! HOT ! part, lol. It was predicted to get to 115F, but thankfully it always seems to fall short a few degrees. No, I'm not complaining, Norma, Leah, Niki, etc., probably had higher temps(?).

We went for an early swim and did as much yard work as the temps allowed then kicked back with a second pot of coffee. Coffee and english muffins with fresh pineapple poolside for breakfast and an early lunch at IHOP. Boy, we have an exciting life, no?

I'm trying to kick back and relax, I have a busy month of July with my new job. Hiring into the Finance Dept. of our County was a brave move, but I'm questioning my sanity because we're at year-end...ouch. Except this Saturday, I work each Saturday this month, and even a Sunday too for good measure. I will be one tuckered gal by month-end.

I'm up to 14 blocks on my neutral log cabin blocks. I know it's going slow, but that's to be expected, I have NO life right now!

We'll skip the fireworks tonight, I have to be up at 4:00 each morning, so my bedtime is right about BOOM time! Hope you're enjoying your holiday, I sure have!

Dry heat... hmmph! It's 105 around here. But we're supposed to get rains this weekend, so at least there's something to look forward to. :)

You're right. We got you beat here in Mesa...116! yikes!
Needless to say, I'm staying in tonight. Yep, in the good 'ol a/c. LOL. No fireworks for us. That's what TV is for. LOL

We have the humid heat here, and either way, if the numbers hit the 90s or higher, its HOT!Don't let them fool you. Sounds like you are keeping quite busy, year end passes quickly for you and you can resume a more normal schedule.

Wowsers--no thanks. It has been beautiful here, mid 70s. My sisters rolled in from Phoenix on the 4th and within hours the fog crept in and temps dipped into the 50s. They came to escape the heat but were missing their 100+ temps.

Wow, I can´t imagine how it would be to stay in that heat.

Wow -- yeah, at a certain point dry/humid, it just means hot. Hang in there -- the craziness won't last forever. Eventually, you will be able to get back to a life!

My blog today talks about our dry heat too! LOL! 107 was our high today; we'll get "down" to 67 around 4 a.m., I think. I'm wondering if we can all go visit Rian for maybe a couple months! LOL! No, I sure wouldn't be missing 100 degree temps--anything above 80 and I'm toast. Hang in there at the new job! Trial by fire! LOL!

That's pretty hot, but it's true that it doesn't feel so bad when it is a dry heat. If you survive the first month or two of this new job it sounds like it will be a walk in the park. Tooth ok now?

Ai yi yi! It may be a "dry heat", but I can tell you that after about five seconds in it I wouldn't be dry. Going for a swim sounds nice, though.

It was, is miserable in Mesa. We are watching the lawn and plants just fry! We were in Show Low for the first part of the week and it was hot there too. So much for going to the mountains to cool off!
