Christmas Across the Miles

Sorry, no WIP today. I'm exhausted from work, things are quite behind!

Thanks to dd#2 I am able to share my dd#1's apparent happiness with her quilt. Thank you again dd, you're awesome, and you take good care of your Momma!

Living 2500+ miles from my 3 adult children is a large burden to carry. The computer (with instant messages and email), cell phones that are "inside the network" ( not to mention texting), and digital cameras all help facilitate a closeness that we 4 share.

So even tho we curse technology sometimes, I thank every convenience I enjoy. I'd be uncurably lonesome without it!

Wonderful quilt - lucky girl! Technology is a necessary evil with our family as well.

I think your daughter's face says it all. A beautiful quilt that is much loved and appreciated. Good work, mom!

I think technology is wonderful! Wait till you have grandchildren--you'll be able to share every bit of their growing up no matter where they live.

What a genuine reaction from a clearly-thrilled daughter! Makes it all worthwhile, huh?

what a pretty quilt! our family relies on the marvels of modern technology to stay in touch too. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't talk to my son every day, regardless of where he is. Love that cell phone! :)

It's a beautiful quilt, and the look on her face is even more beautiful.

Yeah, I know, tech is great. If it weren't for that, I'd NEVER see or hear from my family.

Pretty quilt! You do nice work.

Cell phones I don't care for sometimes because I don't like to be available/reached just any ol' time.

Thanks for stopping by my place :)

I like you have one son 1000's of kilometres to the south and the other 100's of kilometres to the north. My youngest said it all when he rang to tell me that he had shared my blog with his mates at work. He told him he was so excited to see our little dog, the things I had written and photos I had posted had nearly made him cry..ahhh a mothers love
